Ten Best Memories From the Summer of 2009!!!

I have 2 Number 1s!!! Just cause summer was that great!

#1
This was Aaron and my first period of time
together away from school. LOVED it.

#10
Boating at the lake-we did a lot of that,
and I loved going with Em cause we
always tube together!

#9
Interview number 2. That was fun...
I like everything except the mics, those
suck!

#8
The Carnival... I got sick on the rides,
but I got a darn cute toy out of the
whole thing! Aaron won it.

#7
Island Oasis in Grand Island... I enjoyed the
Lazy River...
Aaron rather enjoyed the more
daring features like the HUGE slide!

#6
The lake nearby was a great place to hang
out, and we spent a lot of time on the beach.

#5
Mammoth Caves in Kentucky-That had
to be one of my best vacations!!
We went almost 300 ft underground! SO amazing
and stunningly beautiful.

#4

Spent a lot of time getting to know my
'other family'-pretty darn cool!

#3
I found my way back to Tennessee...
I can't lie, Nashville will always hold a
very dear place in my heart.

#2
After patiently waiting forever, I finally
got my beautiful boots!!

OTHER #1!!!
First Motorcycle ride!!! That was amazing and AWESOME.

Life's like a road that you travel on
When there's one day here an' the next day gone
Sometimes you bend, sometimes you stand
Sometimes you turn your back to the wind

There's a world outside every darkened door
Where blues won't haunt you anymore
Where brave are free an' lovers soar
Come ride with me to the distant shore

Life is a highway
I wanna ride it all night long
If you're going my way
Well, I wanna drive it all night long

Through all these cities an' all these towns
It's in my blood an' it's all around
I love you now like I loved you then
This is the road an' these are the hands
From Mozambique to those Memphis nights
The Khyber Pass to Vancouver's lights

There's no load I can't hold
Road so rough, this I know
I'll be there when the light comes in
Just tell 'em we're survivors...

I love 'Life Is A Highway' by Rascal Flatts!

The Island

They say the skies of Lebanon are burning
Those mighty cedars bleeding in the heat
They're showing pictures on the television
Women and children dying in the street
And we're still at it in our own place
Still trying to reach the future through the past
Still trying to carve tomorrow from a tombstone...
...But hey, don’t listen to me
This wasn’t meant to be no sad song
We’ve heard too much of that before
Right now I only want to be here with you
Till the mornin' dew comes fallin' ...

...I want to take you to the island...
...Trace your footprints in the sand...

...And in the evening when the sun goes down
We’ll make love to the sound of the ocean.

-This is one of my favorite songs from Celtic Thunder, my all time favorite group. 'The Island' is a beautiful, haunting song. :)

My Favorite Activity This Weekend!!!

This weekend, I went boating, watched jousting, did fireworks,
played badminton, attended a parade, and ate too much!

BUT,

Out of everything I did this weekend, I think this will be the most memorable, fun experience.

Thank you Bill and Sunni!!!

Basal Cell Carcinoma

This seems to fit my condition exactly. I don't really know what it means, except that it's not Melanoma. I haven't been officially diagnosed yet. But this does exactly fit all of my symptoms, so... I am working on arranging an appointment this month.

I'm feeling so scared, angry, cheated. Not sure why. It may be nothing, or something very minor. We'll see I guess.

Somber Update

So most of you know about the cancer scare I had last school year. For those of you who don't, I found a small bump growing in my ear. I wasn't too worried until I was in the ER for a bruised rib. The doctor noticed the growth and seemed very concerned. She insisted that I go see a dermatologist. Once I finally did, I was told that it was a pre-cancer spot, and it was successfully removed. As long as it didn't grow back, I was considered good.

Unfortunately, today I discovered a growth on my ear. *groan* I guess it's back. This time I'm going to a cancer specialist for a free diagnosis, hopefully. I'm really worried about it. Now that I finally have a life worth loving, now this happens! Can someone help me fill out a request for a break?!?

I'll keep updating on here about what's going on with it.
