The day grows long
Seems it will never end
But I welcome the time just with you

We've shared our days
Ever since you were born
I promised I'd always be there
But I spoke in haste
Not knowing the future
Not suspecting the suffering we'd share

I tried to take your burdens too

As I'm watching you now
I see how brave you are
