Life Goes On, Despite My Being Stuck In This Moment

So, it would seem that show choir tour is over at really flew by! The picture above is of the
really awesome Alice in Wonderland throw that
I got on tour. It's super warm and features a super
creepy Johnny Depp on the front.

That's Grady. He's going to be a priest one day,
but right now he's just my-sort-of-cool show
choir friend. When he dances, he wears a very
confused face and has to be prompted before
every move. It's fun.

We went to Cabella's for a while on our last day of
tour. I found this jacket and I LOVE it. I didn't get it,
but if you want to get me a super nice present just
because, that jacket was only $25! And it makes my
hair look sexy.

This was taken right before a show. Aaron looks
pretty cheesy, but he was rubbing my back, so
I thought I better post it so y'all know what an
awesome fiance he is!

Michael Buble's song Home was one of my
favorites. I'm with Ethan, pretending like he
is my lover far away, and wishing he would
come home to me... or something like that.

So now what? Oh yeah, time never slowed down for me at all. I got home from tour on Sunday. We had a great time! On Monday, I got two freakin' huge homework assignments. Joy! On Tuesday, I had an award ceremony at school. They named me NECC English Sophomore of the year, and said I was one of the most creative people walking around the campus. That made my day! They also featured me throughout the book 'Voices Out of Nowhere', the campus book that gets published every year. My favorite poem that they published was this one:

By Angel Bennett
I wish I could feel the thrill
You display when you leap
from the sofa and hoarsely scream
I wonder at the pull of sports
Drawing son and quiet father
Into the fierce excitement
Touchdowns inciting furious joy
Or disappointed rage

And I wait to know that passion
When your gaze falls on me
The real, live prize you caught
As your heart swells with passion
Until you jump from your seat
And engage in aching love
That draws rapture from my lips
And find relation in the feeling
In my own soul:
The passion of victory in our arms.

So, those were some fun moments. I'm about to get inside my head again, but I think I will post that separately so you can distinguish my deep thoughts from my updates. :D

Some Ideas...

Not sure if this will fit the wedding we are planning,
But I think it is the most awesome dress I have
ever seen, and I like it very much.

I really like the neckline and the sash. If I could do this
without the dress being sleeveless/strapless, I would love it.

I kind of like this neckline. Just the neckline.

This would also be kind of cute, I think. The neckline
and the bow. Aw!

I like this dress because of how it is close fitting,
up on top. I think that is all.

If this dress had straps, I would be in love with
it totally. I like the fit a lot. It's kind of plain,
but I think I like the simple look.

Disregarding the neckline, I like the fit of this dress
as well. It's kind of mermaid looking on top, but
then it flares out a little.

I like all the ruffle-y things on this dress. It's, like,
tiered, and I think it is lovely.

On this dress, I adore the straps and neckline. Also,
I think I like the material on the bottom a lot, it
looks dreamy. If I were getting married on the
beach, I would love the hat too.

The Other Stories

So, my only big news was supposed to be my engagement. But since that happened I have not had a moment to breathe! Here's why:

On Sunday, I went to work. When I got off work, I was fine. I took my brother to the movies, and I was fine. I took him out for Sonic, and we were fine. We went for a walk, and he and I both had stomachaches. So I took him home. His got better. Mine got worse. Way, way worse. Within an hour of getting a stomachache I couldn't sit, stand, lay down, or anything without severe pain. I stood up to walk around, and threw up instantly.

So., Aaron drove me to the hospital. All the way there I insisted I didn't want to go, cried, and threw up, in turns. When we got to the hospital, I was in even worse pain. Ouch. They did some tests and very quickly determined that I had appendicitis. I was rushed in for an appendectomy. So... yay! I spent 3 days recovering from that.

Not like I'm not still recovering. I can't lift more than 10 lbs. I can't drive. I can't walk more than 10 minutes. I get tired SO fast. But I am making a super speedy recovery because I have a tour next week.

Show choir tour. That's another big event in my near future! Beginning Monday I wake up around 3:30 am, go to 3 schools and give 3 hour-long shows, and go home to do it again the next day. It's the best fun in the world! Getting ready for it is fun too. So far I have: Gotten my hair permed, got my nails done at Elegance Head to Toe, and got fitted for my dress. Tomorrow I have to get a sunless tan and a note from my doctor saying I can do strenues sports such s dance.

My life is rich and grand. I would rather be me than anyone else.

Baby, Just Say 'Yes'

So... We were shopping for picture frames on Friday, March 9th. Aaron was acting semi-mysterious, claiming he wanted to hang a photo of us in his room. I was looking for a boyish themed frame, and not getting very far! He just didn't like any frames I picked out.

So, after searching 3 aisles of Target for 10 minutes, I heard Aaron say, 'what do you think about this one, Angel?' I didn't turn around right away, looking at another frame. When I turned, he was pointing across the aisle. I stepped up and looked where he was pointing. It wasn't a picture frame, it was a mirror, about 11x15. All I saw were the words, 'Angel Renee...' and my brain kind of shut off.

Have you ever had one of those moments where time slows down and everything seems to come to a standstill? Like in the middle of a car wreck, or when a baby sibling is born. That's how it felt. I opened my mouth but nothing came out. I stared and finally made my brain read the rest of the engraving on the mirror.

"Angel Renee,

When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody,
you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.

Will you marry me?

Aaron Hoyt"

And when I finally made sense of the mirror, I turned to find Aaron on one knee with a small wooden box. His first words were, "Angel, I love you, will you marry me?" And my response was, "Oh my gosh, are you serious?!? In Target, Aaron???!" haha!

So, about 20 minutes later I said yes, and we got the ring fitted. Is that not a beautiful, romantic, creative idea? On a scale of 1-10, I would rate it a 12.

So now here we are, all engaged, and I just have a few other stories, but I will save them for my next post!!!

Love Story

Well! The wait is over, now I get to deal with the bustle!
At least we have a year to plan! I'm still in shock. I am
setting up an account where I will tell our engagement story. Here's
just a little teaser for you guys, though...

So, I've been stressing out a little over the proposal. I mean,
he says he wants to get married in May of 2011, but we don't
have any plans about getting to that point. So I'm telling him about
this as we are shopping one day. "I think we could just get a dummy
ring until we can afford a more expensive one." He just smiles and
shakes his head. "We are getting you a real ring, you'll just have to wait."
I groan, but keep walking. He nods down an aisle. "Let's look for a picture

Oh my gosh, so awesome!
