Baby, Just Say 'Yes'

So... We were shopping for picture frames on Friday, March 9th. Aaron was acting semi-mysterious, claiming he wanted to hang a photo of us in his room. I was looking for a boyish themed frame, and not getting very far! He just didn't like any frames I picked out.

So, after searching 3 aisles of Target for 10 minutes, I heard Aaron say, 'what do you think about this one, Angel?' I didn't turn around right away, looking at another frame. When I turned, he was pointing across the aisle. I stepped up and looked where he was pointing. It wasn't a picture frame, it was a mirror, about 11x15. All I saw were the words, 'Angel Renee...' and my brain kind of shut off.

Have you ever had one of those moments where time slows down and everything seems to come to a standstill? Like in the middle of a car wreck, or when a baby sibling is born. That's how it felt. I opened my mouth but nothing came out. I stared and finally made my brain read the rest of the engraving on the mirror.

"Angel Renee,

When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody,
you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.

Will you marry me?

Aaron Hoyt"

And when I finally made sense of the mirror, I turned to find Aaron on one knee with a small wooden box. His first words were, "Angel, I love you, will you marry me?" And my response was, "Oh my gosh, are you serious?!? In Target, Aaron???!" haha!

So, about 20 minutes later I said yes, and we got the ring fitted. Is that not a beautiful, romantic, creative idea? On a scale of 1-10, I would rate it a 12.

So now here we are, all engaged, and I just have a few other stories, but I will save them for my next post!!!
